Tri-Shutter Card Open

This is a Tri-Shutter card (tutorial is on Splitcoaststampers here). Really easy, the longest part was coming up with the measurements for the pieces, but I have those written down now so should be easier next time. Love this card. The next post will show how it looks closed. Thanks for peeking!

Patriotic

This card uses a retired stamp set called The Free & The Brave. I wanted to make a bunch of cards to send to soldiers overseas through a couple soldiers over there that I know. I like how this card came out, hope you all like it!

The Free & The Brave (retired) stamp set, Night of Navy, Very Vanilla and Real Red cardstock, Night of Navy and Real Red classic ink pads, versamark, white embossing powder, heat tool, Riding Hood Red ribbon (retired), modern label punch and silver brad from the silver Hodge Podge Hardware set.

I got this idea from Andrea Walford here. I like how this card came out. She talked about softening the Crushed Curry by stamping over it with white craft ink.. I only had a creamy looking craft ink, but it worked. Not sure how much you can tell from the picture. Thanks for looking!

This is a card I came up with to try my new watercolor crayons in the Rich Regals from Stampin UP! The set used is a new Level 2 Hostess Set in the 2009-2010 Idea Book & Catalog called Asian Artistry.
